Welcome! Or fáilte (pronounced "FALL-cha") in Gaelic.

 

Here at fáilte studio, we maintain a simple ethos. Giving time and consideration to the smaller details in life can enhance the moments which are often overlooked.

 

fáilte studio began with our Founder and Creative Director, James Galbraith Kirkpatrick, wanting to share his passion for simple living, to help people experience the calm and joy that comes with taking care of the quotidian elements of our lives.

 

Our design-led studio produces hand-crafted tableware, homeware and objects, drawing on inspiration from the natural world. Using a throwing wheel to create his pieces, James finds the process to be a cathartic and therapeutic experience. He believes that the journey is just as important as the end result, with each step of the process bringing him great pleasure. He believes that the many variables, such as seating position, breath, tired hands, or a distracted mind can impact the result of the piece.
